We want to share our gratitude for our devoted community that once again rallied to support our neighbors facing hunger. Making Spirits Bright’s holiday lights show at Evergreen Park collected 131,077 pounds of donations in its tenth year. We’re grateful for everyone who visited and generously gave food and personal care items. We also truly appreciate the of hundreds of committed volunteers who helped us collect donations and transfer them from Evergreen Park to our warehouse, as well as countless families, businesses, other groups, and individuals who sorted and packed the donations into boxes, so that they could be ready to distribute to our network of food pantries and other organizations.
Making Spirits Bright’s donations over the past decade total up to 868,275 pounds. As a token of our appreciation for ten years of dedicated support, we recently presented an award to Making Spirits Bright’s Board President, Gerry Plehn, who accepted on behalf of the organization.

Patrick Boyle, Executive Director of Sheboygan County Food Bank, said, “We’re thankful for Making Spirits Bright’s partnership and their event that focuses on helping us provide emergency food for Sheboygan County families, seniors, children, and homeless individuals. Each volunteer who took part in making this event run smoothly and visitors who donated are all greatly appreciated.”
