Sheboygan County Rotary Clubs provide Making Spirits Bright in Evergreen Park benefiting Sheboygan County Food Bank by collecting non-perishable food and personal care items. Open every night November 26 – December 31 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (closed on Dec. 24), visitors can enjoy trolley rides, visits with Santa, wreath raffles, entertainment and concessions across the street in the Sheboygan Jaycees Quarryview Center.
Admission to the iconic drive-thru holiday lights show is free of charge, but donations are highly encouraged. About 990,000 pounds of donations have been collected since the event started in 2012, which means that Making Spirits Bright is on track to gather OVER 1 MILLION pounds in 2023!
Together, we can make sure safe, nutritious food and other basic necessities get to our neighbors in need. When visiting Making Spirits Bright, please consider purchasing and donating the items listed below to help avoid the collection of expired food and provide Sheboygan County Food Bank’s most needed items. Low-sodium, low-sugar, and light-syrup food items are preferred when possible. Thank you!
- peanut butter
- canned soup
- canned tuna, canned chicken
- cereal, oatmeal
- canned fruit
- personal care items (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, etc.)

Interested in volunteering? Sheboygan County Food Bank’s volunteers drive a small box truck from the warehouse to Evergreen Park to help collect food donated by visitors. Then after the event is over, volunteers drive donations back to the warehouse to unload and weigh. Volunteers must be ages 18+ and have a valid drivers license for the driver position. No special licensing is required. Register to volunteer here.
