Be a part of the largest single-day food drive in the country! The annual National Association of Letters Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is our second biggest community-wide food drive. Prior to mail carriers’ arrival on Saturday, May 9th, residents can place non-perishable food items next to their mailboxes. Mail carriers collect and deliver those items to a local food bank, or food pantry. Sheboygan County Food Bank receives donations from Sheboygan, Howards Grove, and Kohler, and relies heavily on these donations to help supply emergency food to partner agencies in the summer months.
Food Donation Tips
- Purchase healthy, non-perishable food items before Saturday, May 9th to ensure your donation is not expired.
- Place the food items in a bag next to your mailbox prior to your letter carrier’s arrival on May 9th.
- Let your mail carrier and us handle the rest! With your mail carrier’s help, we will make sure your donation gets to our warehouse safely and out to our partner agencies who serve our neighbors in need.
Volunteer Opportunities
Would you like to make a difference in our community? We have volunteer shifts ranging from collecting food donations along mail carriers’ routes, loading up our trucks with donated food at our local post office, or helping sort the food once it reaches our warehouse.
