The National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive is the largest single-day food drive in the country. On the morning of the second Saturday in May, residents can place non-perishable food items next to their mailboxes and mail carriers collect the donations while they’re out on their assigned routes. Sheboygan County Food Bank receives donations from Sheboygan, Howards Grove, and Kohler, and works with volunteers to help pick up, unload, and weigh donations. Donations received at this food drive help supply food to our community through our Sheboygan Cares Food Pantry, Herb Kohler & Natalie Black Community Cafe, and partner organizations in the summer months.
Donate
1. Purchase non-perishable food items from our current most needed items list above to ensure your donation is not expired.
2. Place the food items in a bag next to your mailbox prior to your mail carrier’s arrival on second the Saturday in May.
3. Let your mail carrier and us handle the rest! With your letter carrier’s help, we will make sure your donation gets to our warehouse safely and in the hands of our neighbors in need.
