Sheboygan County Food Bank

It’s true. As 2024 is coming to an end, we’re supporting the most family visits in our history. We’re seeing an average of 6,850 family visits each month at our Sheboygan Cares Food Pantry and partner organizations—likely largely attributed to inflation. This is a 240% increase from three years ago and officially more than the height of the pandemic in 2020. Since 2020 we’ve expanded our annual food budget by 578% to fill in declining food donation gaps and make sure we’re providing nutritious items and culturally-relevant options throughout our programs and entire network. With inflation added into the mix, our food expenses have skyrocketed.

This all means that continuing our work is more important now than ever. We invite you to join us in helping local families struggling to put food on the table—including children, seniors and veterans—and our homeless neighbors. There’s still time to donate to our year-end crowdfunding campaign. We’re at 13% of our $200,000 goal and it’s critical that we meet it by December 31st.

We’re inspired to believe this is possible because of the extraordinary compassion and generosity that defines the people of Sheboygan County. Almost every day our warehouse is bustling with volunteers sorting and packing food donations from Making Spirits Bright while donors are giving to help fuel our mission.

Those in the position to give can donate to our crowdfunding campaign now or send in a check to our address, 3115 N. 21st Street, Sheboygan, WI 53083. Choose to honor someone special in your life by designating your gift in their name or pick from one of our anti-hunger programs to support. Even $5 makes a difference.

Thank you for opening your heart and supporting our neighbors this holiday season.
