Staff Attends Hunger Relief Federation Summit: Local Action, Statewide Impact

On September 10th, staff joined anti-hunger advocates across the state for the Hunger Relief Federation’s third annual Federation Summit. The Hunger Relief Federation was developed by our friends at Hunger Task Force to bring together like-minded emergency food organizations in Wisconsin. Anti-hunger leaders shared ideas, had tough conversations, and considered solutions for hunger in their communities.
Patrick Boyle, SCFB’s Executive Director, co-presented on How We Communicate Hunger in one of the skills sessions. Patrick shared personal stories from his past experience in non-profits interacting with donors and ideas on how organizations can effectively promote their brand, mission, and what they do to their communities.
We are inspired by our anti-hunger friends and excited to use what we learned to continue to address the emergency food needs of our hungry neighbors in Sheboygan County.
